Message from Mayor

Welcome to the Town of Beausejour Website!

It is my pleasure to bring greetings on behalf of Town Council. My name is Ray Schirle and I have been elected for a second term, as Mayor of this wonderful community with a population of approximately 3,500 residents.

Beausejour is a major hub for the North Eastern region of Manitoba; located only 46 kilometers east of Winnipeg. If you are looking for a business opportunity, a home to relocate to, a place to plan your vacation, Beausejour has what you are looking for!

In terms of business or development, Beausejour has many resources whether it be the Municipal Office, the Beausejour and District Chamber of Commerce or the Beausejour Brokenhead Development Corporation, staff are ready and willing to assist you.

The Town of Beausejour is located within close proximity to CentrePort Canada and the City of Winnipeg. As a result of our location we have over ten local franchises, many specialty shops and professional services. This community is open for business!

If you are looking for a place to reside, Beausejour has many amenities for all ages. Some of these include our Active Transportation Program and a state-of-the-art recreation facility that features hockey, ball diamonds, curling, ringette, walking track, skating and a splash pool. There are also many outdoor walking paths including the Train Whistle Park, Chryplywy Nature Park and our Internationally known Daylily Gardens.

As Beausejour is located centrally in the region, there is access to the Whiteshell Provincial Park and Manitoba’s famous Grand Beach. The primary Health Centre, hospital and schools are major assets for the Eastern Region that offer health services and educational opportunities for the community.

Whether you are a visitor or a resident to our vibrant community, there are a large array of festivals and events happening throughout the year including Canada Day Celebrations, Heritage Day at the Pioneer Village Museum, the popular Shades of the Past car show, the Annual Manitoba Gospel Music Festival, the Double B Rodeo and Fair and the world-famous Canadian Power Toboggan Championships.

Beausejour is a gem of a community that we hope you will all discover. As a community, we look forward to welcoming you to our home, your home!

                                                                                                                        Mayor Ray Schirle
