Town of Beausejour Operations Department - Seasonal Labourer 

The Town of Beausejour is accepting applications for the position of Seasonal Labourer for the Operations Department.

 

Under the general direction of the Lead Hand, the incumbent shall be responsible for a variety of duties related to the daily responsibilities of working in the Department. The main purpose of the Seasonal Labourer is to provide seasonal duties during the peak construction season. 

 

The successful applicant must possess the following:

  • At a minimum, a valid Manitoba Class 3F Driver’s License with air brake endorsement.  
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with all employees effectively and courteously.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to establish and maintain an all-encompassing working relationship with the staff, and public in a courteous manner.
  • Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of all equipment assigned to the Public Works Department in the Labourer Classification.
  • Working knowledge and/or the ability to be trained in all Traffic Safety practices.
  • Must have the ability to work various shifts and stand-by shifts as required including days, nights, and weekends. A typical week will consist of 8-20 hours of work.
  • Willingness to work overtime as required.

Town of Beausejour Summer Employment Opportunity - Splash Aquatic Centre Lifeguard/Swim Instructors


The Town of Beausejour is now accepting applications for Swim Instructors, Lifeguards and Lifesaving Instructors for the 2022 Swim Season.

 

This is a term position and will run from May 30, 2022 – September 5, 2022. Hours will vary between positions as our pool is open daytime, evening and weekends. 

 

The ideal candidates will have their current CPR-C & AED, Standard First Aid, National Life Saving (NLS) and Water Safety Instructor (WSI) Certifications. The Facility Coordinator will assist all successful applicants with the transition to Lifesaving Society certifications for the 2022 year.

Although some opportunity is available to train in-house, Lifesaving Instructors (LSI) would be considered an asset. Applicants must be at least 16 years of age.
