Instructions for Tags

Garbage Tags for the upcoming calendar year will be available for pick-up in December at the Town Office located at 639 Park Avenue, Beausejour, Manitoba during regular office hours, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday.

  • New Garbage Tags must be used in the New Year.
  • All renters must make arrangements with the property owner to receive tags.
  • For further information, please contact the Town of Beausejour at 204-268-7550. 

Reminder:  Please ensure stickers and bags are warm when applying.  In the event that the bag is cold, fold the tag in half around the opening, ensuring both sticky sides are in contact.

 All garbage must be tagged and ready for pick-up by 7:00 a.m.


Curbside Recycling Pick-up

Curbside recycling is provided to our residents on the same day as they receive garbage pick-up. Starting August 1, 2018 the Recycling Processor will no longer accept blue plastic recycling bags. All recycling must be loose in a blue bin or other appropriate recycling container.

Electronic Waste Recycling

All residents of the Town of Beausejour are eligible to use the Electronic Waste station at the Rural Municipality of Brokenhead's Public Works Yard, located on the Northeast corner of junction P.T.H. 44 and P.R. 302. There is an E-waste trailer parked by the recycling compound to collect these items. The recycling attendant will assist you to move your old or non-working electronics to the trailer during the hours of operation of the recycling depot. These items, once the trailer is full, are taken to a facility in Selkirk for recycling.

Hours of operation are as follows:

Winter (November 1 - March 31)

Monday to Friday  10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Saturday                 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Sunday                    Closed

Summer (April 1 - October 31)

Monday to Friday  10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Saturday                 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Sunday                    12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Seasonal Lawn and Garden Compost Site

The Lawn and Garden Compost Site entrance is located on First Street North. All Town Residents are encouraged to drop off their lawn and garden waste and tree branches.  No household or construction waste is permitted.  Residents may pick up limited quantities of screened compost material at no cost when available. 

Hours of Operation: Monday to Sunday, 8:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Seasonal
